When did you join Apeejay and what was your first job profile?
My journey with Apeejay began in July 1969 when I was just 21 years old. I started as a Business Coordinator at Apeejay Structure Private Limited in Bokaro Rajbandh. My responsibilities included preparing and updating Production Reports for my reporting head, the esteemed Late Mr. Surrendra Paul. This was my first job, and it laid the foundation for a career that has spanned over five decades.
Please tell us about your family, your growing years, and how you joined Apeejay.
I owe my entry into Apeejay to my father, Late Gyan Chand Jain, who joined the company in 1953. His recommendation to Mr. Surrendra Paul led to my selection and subsequent hiring. My personal life took a significant turn in 1974 when I got married. I am blessed with two sons and a daughter, and have six grandchildren who bring immense joy to my life.

Also, share with us your journey with Mr. Jit Paul.
In February 1976, I began working closely with Mr. Jit Paul, who played a pivotal role in my career development. Initially, he sent me to manage Max Restaurant at Magnolia, New Market, and by 1979, he entrusted me with the Magnolia Park Street Branch as well. By 1992, Mr. Jit Paul had me working directly under his leadership in the office, a role I maintained until his passing. His guidance was instrumental in shaping my career.
